Theodosios Sykas is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Social Policy at Democritus University of Thrace. His academic field of expertise focuses on the economics of migration, with an emphasis on regional development and educational implications.
His research interests concentrate on the economics of migration, regional development, and moral and democratic education. He has extensive research experience in both international and domestic research projects concerning highly skilled migration, migrant integration in host countries, regional development, and economic geography.
His studies have been published in international and Greek academic journals, including European Urban and Regional Studies, Population, Space and Place, International Journal of Manpower, International Migration, Journal of International Migration and Integration, International Journal of Social Economics, and Constitutional Political Economy. Additionally, he has contributed to conference proceedings and both national and international edited volumes. He has also authored two books.
